About me
Call me Andy or Andrew.
The important stuff: My wife and I have six kids (ages sqrt(64), 2 x 5, 6th prime number, sqrt(225), the prime that is the sum of the first four prime numbers, and the Roman numeral palindrome XIX. I like two wheeled transportation. I am an educator because teaching is how I choose to make the world a better place. Ever since I have been old enough to have a job, I've consistently chosen to teach.
The other stuff: My teaching experience includes two years as a preschool teacher, seven years as a high school math teacher, six years as a middle school math teacher, almost five years as a math coach, and various intervals as a professional development facilitator or preservice instructor. I have bachelor's and master's degrees in mathematics education and a Ph.D. in curriculum and instruction. I like to stay active in mathematics education communities in the state.
